Speaker2: Um, the commercial unit of measurement of cement is the barrel. The unit of shipment is the bag. A barrel of Portland cement contains £380 of cement. And the barrel itself weighs £20. There are four bags either made from cloth or paper cement to the barrel, and the regulation cloth sack weighs one and one-half pounds.

Speaker2:  Now the size of cement barrels varies due to the differences in the weight of cement and the differences and to differences in compacting the cement into the barrel. A light-burned Portland cement weighs £100 per bushel. However, a heavily heavy, burned Portland cement can weigh from 118 to £125 per bushel. The number of cubic feet of packed Portland cement in a barrel ranges from 3 to 3 and a half.

Speaker1: This audio is used for Transcribing test at go transcript.

Speaker2: I can just hear you asking what is a struck bushel. Well, believe it or not, it's also called a US bushel. And it's equal to 2,150.42 cubic inches or 35,245.38 cubic centimeters. It's considered the equivalent of the Winchester bushel, a measure used in England from the 15th century until 1824. A US-level bushel is made up of four pecks or 32 dry quarts, two bushels make up a unit called a strike.

Speaker2:  Natural cement are lighter than Portland cement, a barrel of Louisville, Akron, Utica or other Western natural cement. Contains £265 of cement and weighs £15. A barrel of Rossendale or other Eastern cement contains £300 of cement, and the barrel itself weighs £20. There are three and three-quarters cubic feet in a barrel of Louisville cement. Usually, there are three bags to a barrel of natural.

Speaker2: A popular construction for automatic bucket hoists is that shown in the accompanying illustrations. But let me describe them for you in case you can't see them. The bucket is held upright by guides at its front and rear edges. To dump it out. A section of the front guide is removed at the desired dumping point, which allows the bucket to overturn as shown.

Speaker2:  A friction crab hoist operated from the mixer engine runs the bucket at the foot of the hoist is set in a pit with the mixer at surface level, but the hoist can be set on the surface and the mixer mounted on a platform.

Speaker2:  In the latter case, a charging bucket traveling from the stockpile up An inclined track to the mixer platform is generally used. A hoist like this, equipped with a half cubic yard ransom mixer, will cost about 1500 bucks and will deliver 15 cubic yards of concrete per hour.

Speaker1: This audio is used for Transcribing test at go transcript.

Speaker2: Want to know the secret to good concrete? Well, after the selection of good materials, thorough mixing and hard camping are key. Each batch of concrete consists of about 1.2 cubic yards. Has to be turned in the mixer for not less than 2 minutes at the rate of nine revolutions per minute.

Speaker2: The amount of tamping is indicated by the fact that about nine men out of 52 on each shift did nothing but tamp. A common mistake too many worksites make is to assume that the volume of concrete produced is equal to the quantity of stamped sand, plus the gravel as indicated in the proportion.

Speaker2: Sometimes the sand lodges in the voids between the pebbles. If six cubic yards of concrete are desired, nine times out of ten, it will be necessary to use 2.7 cubic yards of sand and 5.34 cubic yards of gravel.

Steve

So,

[inaudible 00:00:16]

Speaker 2

            You start talking.

Steve

How between the balancing machine, we found out that the low sensors on the left side or in white side of both work by swapping the cables like the indication on the screen still shows no load values and grounds on the left side. I inspected the circuit board. See if there isn't loose connections on the current load Louisville is in connection with an error signal to actually show you anything this is trying to show us something that is not the correct value. And coupled with that, the timing on the weight and balance, I'm going to show you that 90 degrees off axis Chintzy to zero degrees 12 o'clock.

Steve

At zero degrees at 12 o'clock, we put that out there. And it shows you that 90 degrees instead of zero, and if I put them at 90 degrees, it shows 180 degrees, etc.

So, there's a definite problem with the calculation. So, we need to get Hoffman America out there to do a calibration on the units. Or at least look at it but since I think the data acquisition board is having a problem. We've actually looked on eBay account on a low price. It will still need to be calibrated. Regardless,

Steve

Oh, hey, it's Jay taken over now from on Topher. Let's get on with this presentation about our upcoming mission. Now based on the ground track, you'll, you'll never perfectly have something overhead. So there'll be some that kind of graze at a lower elevation, if you will. These, those could be short as a handful of minutes. But roughly, you can kind of assume a ground pass running in about five to 10 minutes. In some areas, we actually have a few different ground stations strung together. across most of the continental US, we we've got really great coverage. Also, pretty good coverage around Australia, and on the eastern, sorry, Western European states and in the Middle East. Oftentimes, if we, if we landed up right with, say, Passover, like Florida, you can get a good one, maybe even five to 20 minutes of coverage continuously. That's, that's all just stuff will kind of have to do in pre plan. There'd be a little bit of effort based on data launch introductory checklists. As Topher discussed the return site, that'll change the timing a little bit, but that's all the stuff we will kind of define ahead of time. I just wanted to give you a sense of you know, of what the vehicle is capable of, you know, and, and all that kind of good stuff. You know, I hope that's helpful. I think, I think one thing they show also over what Topher mentioned, the recurring, you know, ground, the reoccurring, you know, ground pass, you also get, essentially, a reoccurring pass of ground stations. So, we could plan ahead, you know, as long as we're, you know, on that reoccurring ground pass, you know, we probably have known times a day when we'll be over a long pass. I think the longest pass strung together in Florida could be even longer, like 20, maybe 30 minutes. That's kind of one of the things that they sort of mentioned, the way that our vehicle network is designed is, is its sort of a very secure, protected network of at least 1500 different components. And that's not just on the spacecraft. That's also true on the ground. Our mission control centers, they have a totally firewalled system, you know, and I'm sure you can, you know, imagine for all the reasons why, you know,

us 30 is a fancy word for the blues, which is perhaps too casual way of referring to the very real disease that is depression. Not to be confused with the Great Depression of the 20s true depression is very disturbing and has been around for as long as human history. In one case study, a patient presented a marked stupor for five months, she was for the most part very inactive, totally moved, staring vacantly, often not even blinking, so that for that for a time to conjunct of our dry, she did not swallow but held her saliva. She never reacted to pinpricks or fainting motions before her eyes. Often there was marked catalepsy and the retention of very awkward positions. As a rule, she was quite stiff, offering passive resistance towards any interference. She had to fit to bed at first. Later she was spoon fed and then would swallow. In spite of the fact that during the interval between her feeding, she would let slide collect in her mouth. For a time she had a tendency to hold one leg out of bed, and when it was put back would stick the other out. Sometimes she walked over on a cord to the toilet chair, but on one occasion when the floor for she got there, as for her physical condition during the stupor, it followed the same track as many of our other patients. Several times during her stay, she had rises of temperature of 100 to have up to 102 or 103, Fer and degrees Fahrenheit. With the high pulse and respiration. Later, her respiration was 40 with but a slight rise of temperature. Though the pulse had a tendency to go 230 And over, she was out to show Mark skin hyperemia wherever touched with the fever there was found a leukocytosis ptosis of from 11 900 to 15,000, with marked increase of Collin nuclear leukocytes of almost 89%. According to the records of one hospital, nine out of 10 patients admitted had similar issues out of over 1300 study. The initial endowment of 1500 bucks per pay patient seems inadequate for the treatment of this insidious disease. But of course charity requires us to take whatever they're able to pay. Whether or not there is improvement.

What we're looking to do is published books that change the way people see the world and ultimately act in the book. I like to think the reason writers want to be on the list of books we're publishing is because our list is known for its artistic excellence. They want to be with other others who's been chosen to be on our list, which, over time elevates all of them collectively, if we're making good decisions on the acquisition side, that piece of brass rod was clamped. and a depression made in the end slightly eccentric, by means of a senator birch at the end of the pit is inserted in this question, while the other end of the stick is kept as nearly as possible in the rotation of the label, produce rotation of the revolving speech between 711 100 RPM gave the best results. One of the best years I've had as a writer has actually been probably in the past year since the book has come out.

Speaker   2

Because the audience is imaginary anymore. Most writers write because they love it. It really is that art to punch the clock. What's hard to punch the clock is to justify doing it when you only have 24 hours a day. No one else is assigning a value to the core of coil A's is constructed in the usual manner. Get some small soft iron wire to make a bundle about 360s inches in diameter, two inches long.

Speaker 2

The coil ends are made from cardboard about one inch in diameter with a 260s hole in the middle of the in the center I guess that's what the hole should not should be cut so as to have four small pieces that can be bent out leaving the projections are shown. After wrapping three or four turns a paper around a bundle of wires, the cardboard ends or are put on with the projections inside. So the coils of wire will hold them in place about 70 turns on number 24 gauge, double covered magnet wire, give or take eight or 10 is first placed on the core for the primary. And then 1500 turns of number 32 or 34 gauge double covered wire is wrapped on top of the primary or the secondary.

Speaker 2

What we do would not be possible without an engaged community of supporters. In many ways. Sometimes I find myself sitting in my office thinking that I am close to the center of a wheel that includes 1000s of riders readers board members, about eight orders, 25 booksellers and seven or 10 librarians. Without the resources we need in order to operate though this dog won't hunt.

I've heard that the nihilism of isomorphism is independent in its coffee station. There are nine or 10 people who hate the idea of hedging against price fluctuations. They think it's too much like gambling. However, that's not true at all. Gambling increases one's risk profile by making a bet on price movements. By hedging, you're doing the exact opposite. You reduce the risk profile of your GoTranscript organization and don't have some preconceived notion that the odds are somehow in your favor. Take expatriates now, you can take people from countries where you understand the culture a little better, you understand her attitude to risk for example, in safety, safety is a key factor in these days in the oil and gas industry.

The sensibility of trendiness is in fact, quite influential in in its conservation conservatism, different countries have very different cultures associated with their approach to safety. Although GoTranscript brings us all together, if you have a particular company culture, then then you can expatriate people who assigned to your attitude and approach to risk on safety and feel that you've got a better chance of managing it and controlling it, etc. With these people in the location rather than relying on developing the local culture. That's a, that's a second reason, I see as much value from somebody coming from a second or third world country, not to mention GoTranscript to an OECD place, as I do the other way round, because they get a different appreciation and experience.

The challenge you have is you have to be careful that it doesn't lead to pure economic migration. We will help to deploy international knowledge products for today's market driven eat companies, such as GoTranscript, there are also additional sensors. What's new is the fact that there's a new trend to develop specific sensors, and to implement specific sensors on all these parts in a local area in order to get more information and to enrich the MES. Now our firm is dedicated to helping resell virtual e portal solutions for today's new economy, virtual e monopolies, we will constantly strive to provide digital II solutions for TODAY'S BOTTOM LINE focused information workers, we can get you information for a price, maybe half a million dollars. Of course, it's very simple information like electrical data regarding the electrical supply of the machines.

You can have pressure in some cases, when there is when there is pressure concern, for example, we here at GoTranscript might get let's just say well constantly sub strive to leverage XML compliant e business solutions. For today's web economy, virtual companies understand what type of CEO CFO you're dealing with. If the CFO doesn't grok what you're saying, try taking them on a tour of your cube farm, go and see companies that have digitized or even transformed. We are continually evolving, helping to manage advanced knowledge tools for today's pyramid based virtual businesses. In closing, I'm disappointed with in the way we cross pollinated our alpha.  Speaker2: [00:00:09]

There are two primary reasons to hedge. One is to read reduce your short term cash flow volatility. Another is to maximize return on capital for whatever the investors target level of risk is. Many benefits are achieved if you successfully reduce cashflow volatility, the primary one being that nine times out of 10, the risk of bankruptcy bankruptcy can be reduced, which not only reduces the cost of borrowing but also makes lenders more willing to lend you any money to begin with. Furthermore, more accurate earnings forecasting is possible when hedging a company with more predictable earnings will in general be more valued by investors. If your company uses hedging to withstand short term price movements, its management can then focus their energy more focus more fully on the company's core competencies, doing what they are best at. In 1997, a poll was done suggesting that 1700 people currently hedging against price fluctuations feel that in some ways, it's a lot like gambling. But that's not true at all. Gambling increases one's risk profile by making a bet on price movements. By hedging, you're doing the exact opposite, you're reducing the risk profile of your organization. So don't have some preconceived notion that the odds are somehow in your favor. Although some people are willing to ignore market movements and think that they're think they're making a safe choice. By doing so they've actually chosen to turn a blind eye to market volatility, so it's not at all a safe choice. Another thing worth mentioning is options. You can think of options as a kind of insurance against the price of a share in a company moving either up or down.

Speaker2: [00:02:09]

And just like you would with regular insurance, an upfront premium payment needs to be paid to the seller of the option. Though it's important to remember that an option gives you the option hence the name, but not the obligation to buy or sell a share at a set price in the in the future. options can be priced using a variety of different mathematical models, the Black Scholes being the most common one. This model uses several assumptions about market behavior when pricing an option. For example, the ability to continuously hedge an option position. Even though this assumption makes sense. In theory, it's not that realistic in a real world scenario. However, it's still one of the most popular models used by traders. Even Trader Joe, its frequent use, largely explained in that it provides a quick closed form solution. What other methods of pricing options such as Monte Carlo simulations require you to test a million of possible different scenarios?.

Did you know that in casinos, the probability of a sequence of either red or black occurring 26 times in a row is around one in 66 Point 6 million I didn't, which is probably why I lose an average of 50 bucks a month of the track. If you're a trader carrying a plethora of different options in your portfolio, Monte Carlo, or Santa Anita simulations can could require enormous brute force computing power to carry out which in a lot of cases takes more time than is reasonable for you to spare.

Speaker 2: [ 00:00:06 ]

I have no idea yet what is going to be contained in this particular test. It's supposed to be it's supposed to include things that you would have to look up in the guidelines. Like, for example, if I say the number 1500. Or if I say that all right is supposed to be two words. Problem is a lot of you won't look up anything in the guidelines if your life if your life depended on it. I mean, not that does Okay. Still getting this particular job does depend on it. So right here, in the first this first paragraph, I'd say I've sprinkled a few things you'd have to look have looked up in the guidelines to get right. Will you do it, though? I'm wondering, because a lot of people seem to think all they have to do is apply, they think it doesn't matter if they actually finished the audio test, not realizing then it's actually the most important part. This is where we find out whether you can follow simple instructions, like check in the Go Transcript guidelines to see how to format it if the speaker puts two numbers in the same sentence, like three and 18. That's very important. So, let's see if you do that correctly or not. Another thing you need to look up is how long your paragraphs are supposed to be. There's a section in the aforementioned guidelines, telling you exactly how long they should be. And, and yet, we get a lot of tests that are just one big blob of a paragraph. Sad, really, because even when people get every word of the audio transcribed correctly, they still fail because of formatting errors. In fact, I'd say that only five out of 100 people actually get through.

Speaker 2: [ 00:02:02]

Another problem people have with formatting numbers is some not understanding the difference between how you format numbers used to denote years versus the same number used to describe the year. It's, it's, it's even more confusing when you have the same number describing the same type of thing, but in different ways of let me let me clarify that. For example, someone might be talking about an event that occurred in the year 2000. And then the very next sentence, say that it has been over 2000 years since that event happened. It's the same number, and they're even describing the same thing years, but one of them will have a comma and one won't. If you get that right, you may be well on your way to make a hundred of 1000s of pennies as a transcriber. So good luck.

There's a lot of stuff in the news cycle right now about a new and worrisome disease called Bucky pox. It's definitely alarming given that given that there have been other diseases in the past, which had the suffix pox, such as smallpox, which killed untold millions of people until a vaccine was developed. Even our animal friends aren't immune from the dreaded foxes. In 1798, cow pox ravaged the countryside, causing pusillus sores to frequently appear spontaneously on the nipples of our poor Beaubien friends, some deut doctors of the time thought there might be some kind of correlation between cow and smallpox. But it took many years and many deaths, both human and animal to test that theory, and act accordingly. It will probably come as no surprise to you that even when a smallpox vaccine was finally developed, there were those who resisted, claiming that doctors were trying to spread the disease rather than prevent it. Some people thought that the vaccine was immoral, because it was developed from animals. In our own day, at least 1500 service people in the US Navy have refused the COVID vaccine for similar reasons. Strangely enough, though, even people who resist the vaccine, nine out of 10 of them have no problem cashing those 1500 bucks stimulus checks. Not surprisingly, there's also a correlation between low IQ and anti Vaxxer sentiment. While the IQ vaccination comparison has not yet been scientifically proven. A 2020 study by Texas Tech University concluded that some people find vaccines risky because, quote, they overestimate the likelihood of negative events, particularly those that are rare, unquote. That's all rather depressing. So let me just close by answering a question posed by the late great Madeline Kahn in the classic film, Blazing Saddles, in which she asked, perhaps rhetorically is Bismarck a harrowing? Yes, Madeline? Yes, it certainly is.
